 The DONATONI J5.42 is the newest Waterjet cutting centre, designed and developed by DONATONI, to meet the needs of customers looking for a reliable and easy-to-operate waterjet cutting systemfor processing different materials.

Made entirely in Italy and at the forefront of technology, DONATONI J5.42 allows for various types of cuts (longitudinal, transversal, oblique, inclined, curvilinear, elliptical), as well as milling and lowering (with the addition of TOOL+), and finally, through holes and inlays.

The customer is our top priority.The DONATONI J5.42 can be customized according to the needs and specific requirements requested by our customers. Through a special rotary joint, it is possible to enable the infinite rotation of the “C” axis without limitations imposed by cables or tubes.

MAIN FEATURES

  • The movable bridge structure with thick steel bracket units offers unparalleled structural strength, which enables the highest precision in cutting operations. Movements are controlled by two servomotors, one on the right and one on the left (GANTRY system), ensuring excellent finishes even in the most complex and demanding machining. The cutting process uses a water jet, with abrasive sand added, capable of reaching pressures up to 4200 bar.
  • The DONATONI J5.42, with its small size and versatility, provides the utmost functionality and user-friendliness. Access to the area for loading and unloading material is easy. Maintenance and cleaning of the tank are facilitated by the fact that it is possible to remove the blade table in one step.

COMPONENTS

Monoblock frame composed of supporting walls and supporting beams of the tilting bench, in hot-galvanized steel.

High quality electro-spindles controlled by an inverter allowing the adjustment of the nr. of revolutions from 0 to 5500 rpm, so granting the use of blade and diamond tools such as a core drill or milling cutter. The tool change is of manual type.

Fixed base made of galvanized steel, that has been sandblasted and painted with three coats.

The machine has 2 access points (front and rear) for replacing the tools in safety conditions and for accessing the machine itselft easily for performing checks and maintenance.

System to detect slab, with camera positioned above the machine and image acquisition software. The application enables the slab dimensions to be exploited in the best way possible and allows the cutting to be carried out avoiding any defects or any veins in the material.

Vertical lateral electrospindle, allows the operator the use of small diameter diamond tools with ½ "gas connection for incremental cutting / blind or through hole drilling and the performance of combined operations with blade and milling cutter.

System to automatically detect the thickness of the slab.

Suctions cups for lifting and positioning the cut pieces in order to exploit the slabs as much as possible.

SOFTWARE

Parametrix is the simple and intuitive Software developed by Donatoni Macchine and designed to optimise the management of cuts of variously-shaped pieces on a slab. It enables work processes involving cuts with discs, milling cutters and drills, the insertion of straight and curved forms and shapes that have been pre-set or imported from DXF files, and the optimisation of processing times and slab surfaces.

The CAD-CAM software allows you to design, import and execute 2D and 3D files in DXF, IGES, STL, PNT, STEP and RHINO formats and to define surfaces and shapes using laser scanning.

ISOSAG is the software that allows you to create files for executing shaping that is straight-lined or with a concave or convex arc using either a vertical or horizontal disc.

SCAN-CNC is a measuring system consisting of a laser pointer mounted at the head of the machine and a software integrated with Parametrix that allows you to measure bi-dimensional shapes with a linear or curved form and create the drawing in real time (DXF file) on the monitor.

It allows you to measure the surface of slabs placed on the workbench using a camera located on top of the machine and the acquisition software integrated with Parametrix.
